Atman!

Atman has the key to his house in his pocket, but where does he live again? He asks passers-by on the street for advice. What starts with a simple question – ‘Do you know which way I should go?’ – turns into a journey full of detours and obstacles, from which a shaky Atman emerges triumphant. His journey ends in front of the red door he knows, with the cat in the window, and a dad happily hugging his son.

Moeyaert wrote Atman! as a musical performance for all the family by De Nationale Opera. The result is an exciting story full of spectacular twists and sparkling sentences. Mark Janssen has created masterful illustrations, truly making this into a dream of a book.
